Kara and Justin

Eek!! We've been dying to share this wedding and all of it's divine details with you for months! Last May, Spencer Special Events was extremely honored to work with the precious Kara, Justin and their wonderful families, to design and plan an incredible wedding weekend in the Lowcountry. You will soon see why we are still swooning over this glam soiree...

The custom designed wedding invitation and paper suite by Emily McCarthy sure set the stage for the glamorous Lowcountry wedding. The paper and all the pretty details were a big priority for Kara and her sweet mother, Karis. Emily surely delivered.

Kara, who could seriously wear a paper bag and look like she stepped off the runway, wore an Anne Barge spectacular strapless, fitted A-line gown encrusted with diamonds and layered with lace. Her make-up by SKINZIN and hair by Hautelocks was flawless.

There was not a dry eye in the room when Kara's father saw her for this first time (such a sweet moment!)

Kara and Justin were married at Providence Presbyterian Church on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and were carried to their cocktails and reception in a white vintage Rolls Royce complete with a personalized license plate for the newlyweds.

The celebration of Kara and Justin took place at the prestigious Colleton River Plantation on the Nicklaus Clubhouse lawn with world-class service and dining, led by Chef Robert Wysong.  A massive tent to hold 350 guests was created and custom draped with thousands (I mean thousands!) of yards of fabric and custom table linens by the one and only Party Tables.   Fabulous perimeter lighting and crystal chandeliers were hung with care by TEC.  (The tent installation took days and hours to create before the big day-- it was so exciting to watch it all come to life!!)

Spectacular florals and centerpieces were designed by the talented team A Floral Affair.  No two tables were alike, each had a different arrangement of flowers, vases, votives, and focal points. Bright pink peonys popped out of the cream, gold, and blush pink color scheme.

Here's a look at some family photos and the bridal party! Could they be any more darling?

A Floral Affair created a one-of-a-kind tree installation in the center of the ballroom inside the Nicklaus Clubhouse.  An impressive team of artists built the tree, which looked incredibly real, and finished it with beautiful flowering spring branches.  Hundreds of ribbons dangled from its limbs to hold escort cards -- guest names and corresponding table numbers.  Spencer Special Events staff members greeted guests at this incredible display to help with locating their table assignments.

Three spectacular cakes were created by Minette Rushing, Savannah Custom Cakes! Here's a closer look at the floral details and custom monogram dance floor.

Photographer Donna Von Bruening captures her couples perfectly. We just love these portraits of Kara and Justin and know that the couple and their family will truly treasure these always!

An outdoor soft seating area was created near the outdoor bar just outside the tent. Comfy vintage furniture complete with the couple's custom designed monogram embroidered on throw pillows! Another detail we always love!

Kara and Justin truly radiated the entire evening -- from their introduction to toasts, to dinner and dancing, you could just see in their eyes how happy and in love they are.  Truly warmed our hearts!

The details continued with custom golf ball markers, cigars, a video/photo booth, and an incredible surprise firework send-off that few will ever forget.

So there you have it, folks.   A wedding WE will never forget!  As you can tell by the photos, it was certainly a Lowcountry glam affair for a fabulous couple and their sweet family.  Life Stage Films dubbed it as "Kara and Justin's insanely fun Hilton Head wedding." You can watch this 4 minute video to relive it so fondly like we do.

Of course, this wedding would not have been possible without the hard work of a number of incredibly talented vendor friends, several of which have been mentioned but a complete list can be found below!   Thank you to Donna Von Bruening Photographers for capturing this day so perfectly and to everyone who made this wedding truly unique and memorable.  And above all, thank you to Kara and Justin -- we wish you all the love and happiness in the world and truly appreciate the friendship we have created with you!
