Whew! What
a fall so far for Spencer Special Events! With a Bat Mitzvah celebration,
a styled photo shoot, a fabulous wedding at Haig Point on
Daufuskie Island and a perfect wedding day on the May River, we have been having a wonderful couple of
weeks. Here's a look back with some snapshots as we wait for the professional
pictures and a few of our favorite details. It's always so fun to see months
and months of planning come together so well and
to work with so many of our top notch vendor friends to pull it off!
Our darling client hired us to
design and plan her Bat Mitzvah celebration at the end of September. We created a wonder-world for
teens with Palmetto Kettlecorn action station, Pino-Gelato
cart, Airbrush t-shirts, color coordinated
Cotton Candy station and giant candy bar with all of her faves! The
DJ and entertaining dancers had the crowd going late into the night. And
all the details - from the stationery, escort cards, cake, to flowers, were
coordinated perfectly in a modern beach soiree theme.
Our
styled photo shoot, shot by Landon Jacob Productions, at Colleton River Plantation at the end of September was a
great way to really get creative. We worked with some of the area’s most
talented wedding industry professionals to collaborate on a luxurious
styled wedding at Colleton River Plantation. Chef Robert Wysong's
food creations were cutting edge (we love the mini-cheese burger placed on the
straw of a bloody mary!) and the florals by Garden on the Square knocked our
socks off. Not to mention Savannah Custom Cakes' gold dusted cake was
to die for! TEC made the lighting perfect and Party Tables linen and drapery completely
transformed the ballroom. You'll be blown away to see Emma J Design's stationery suite, SKINZIN and Hautelocks by Megan Wayt who made our bride even more beautiful (if that was possible!) The set up would not have been complete without Amazing Event Rentals providing the gold chavari chairs and chargers! What an incredible team.
On October 5th, Spencer Special
Events was a part of Christin and Rob's wedding at the
gorgeous Haig Point on Daufuskie Island, just a short ferry ride away from
Hilton Head Island. Guest were transported around the island in golf
carts. After the ceremony where the couple exchanged their own wedding vows,
everyone was surprised by The Voices of El Shaddai, a joyful gullah
choir. The reception was held at the Haig Point Clubhouse with
top notch food, a hit band, and beautiful florals by the Flowers by Freshcuts ladies. Guests enjoyed a gourmet espresso
bar in the library provided by The Corner Perk, complete
with latte art, a unique detail we just loved!
On October 12th, Weston and
Rhoades were married at the Church of The Cross in Bluffton on a truly perfect
October Lowcountry day. Cocktails and the reception took place at the
bride's parents home on the majestic May River. A spectacular tent was
constructed by Savannah Special Events by Ranco complete with Party Tables flowing drapery, TEC's unique chandeliers,
and a focal lighting/floral sculpture on the dance floor. A Floral Affair's florals and attention to details were fabulous as always. An 8-tier
wedding cake by Custom Cakes adored with thousands of handmade sugar flowers
was a focal point for guests and a real show stopper. Guests enjoyed a
blue grass band and boiled peanuts for cocktails and an 11-piece dynamite band to
dance the night away. Susan Mason Catering provided an extensive dinner
buffet and late night food, it was delish!
We are so honored to have the
pleasure to work with so many wonderful folks recently. From brides and their grooms, fabulous families, guests, and hundreds of
industry professionals and vendors, it's been so much fun seeing everything
come together just as we've planned and worked so hard to make come true.
But we are just getting started, kids! More fun-filled events on the
way...
Happy Fall Y'all!
