Daddy's Little Girl

Often times people have a favorite moment during a wedding.  We've heard many say that they love watching the groom's facial expression when he sees his bride for the first time.  That's a good one for sure, but we think a close rival is that special moment when the father of the bride sees his daughter for the first time.  We tear up every time.

When our Spencer Special Events couple, Andrea and Taylor, married last June, we couldn't get enough of Andrea's thoughtful tribute to her Daddy and the minutes they shared before she walked down the aisle.  In an embroidered handkerchief (which we're pretty sure he'll keep forever!) he read this:

It's been said that a woman falls in love with her father first, and all men after him will have to measure up. What a tall drink of water for many men!  We can't imagine how difficult it would be to "give your daughter away" but think the feeling is summed up by country singer, Blake Shelton, pretty well in the hit song, "I loved her first."
