Meet Lindsay Daly!

Over the last few years, Spencer Special Events has grown tremendously and what a fun ride it has been!  We are so fortunate to have an extensive team that makes all of our amazing events possible. With three event coordinators, our PR/Social Media gal, between 3-5 day-of assistants and of course, Case Spencer who's our jack-of-all trades, Spencer Special Events is more than just one person show.  We're comprised of a group of individuals that together makes the Spencer Special Events family. Today we're highlighting one person in particular-- meet the darling, Lindsay Daly! 

Lindsay started with Spencer Special Events over four years ago and now is responsible for designing and planning many of our smaller, more intimate events. This is particularly exciting for all those brides that realize during the planning process they need a little help on their wedding day! Lindsay's incredibly trustworthy, creative, detail oriented an absolute doll to work with.  She's more than experienced, too. 

Lindsay grew up mostly in Connecticut and after graduating Vanderbilt University, she worked at JCrew in their corporate office in NYC. Her roles included keeping an eye on fashion and style trends, as well as budgeting and placing orders in a very faced paced environment.  She had to be creative, good with balancing finances, and very detail oriented. (Translates so nicely to wedding planning, doesn't it?!) 

Her passion for weddings dates back to a young, single girl in her early twenties where she kept a secret stash of wedding magazines. (Ssshh! Don't tell.)  For Lindsay, event planning encompasses so many of the things she loves!  Lindsay majored in Art History in college, loves interior design and all things beautiful. For each wedding, Spencer Special Events is helping couples design a unique and personal ceremony and reception space -- it's right up Lindsay's alley and reflects her passions! 

Linsday absolutely LOVES getting to know the couples she works with.  Since every couple is so different, she finds it so much fun getting to know them and their style for their dream wedding.  Lindsay always finds it  interesting to see the songs they pick. " I feel like that tells a lot about them!" she says.  "We’ve had everything from very traditional, to all songs from Disney Movies, even had a flash mob dance at a rehearsal dinner!" Whether it’s as the bride is walking down the aisle or if they have chosen to do a first look – Lindsay's favorite thing is always when the groom sees the bride for the first time! 

When she's not planning weddings, you can find Lindsay hanging out with her goofy great dane, Georgia, where the two love to stroll on the beach. She loves hitting the pool with a great book and frequents Lowcountry Back Yard (one of her favorite restaurants) and other yummy local eateries and watering holes.
